If you’re in the market for a high-end low glare patio heater that can be mounted on the ceiling or wall, then the Chillchaser Shadow range might be the perfect patio heater for you!
Chillchaser Shadow – 4kW Weatherproof Wall or Ceiling Mounted Patio Heater Review
Chillchaser is an established presence in the UK market. You may have even seen their heaters on Dragon’s Den in 2009! They specialise in commercial grade patio heaters and offer re-branded Warmwatcher heaters as well.
A 4kW heater gives off approximately 13,656BTUs and as you would expect from a heater that costs just shy of £500 it doesn’t skimp on heating area coverage.
Thanks to a specially built parabolic reflector this heater achieves about 15sqm of heating coverage.
This is dependent on whether the heater is ceiling mounted or wall mounted, you would expect 15sqm from a ceiling mounted installation and a little less from a wall-mounted installation.back to menu ↑
Bulb Life & Heating Type
These low glare infrared bulbs offer an extended life over standard halogen bulbs. With a stated life expectancy of between 5,000 and 7,000 hours.
Offering superior and instant infrared radiant heat. Once the bulbs have expired they are easy to replace with the genius EasyFit lamp system.back to menu ↑
Power Settings & Specifics
This heater has no adjustable power settings and this is due to it targeting the commercial market over the home user. The upgraded shadow XT with Bluetooth remote offers complete power control if you need an adjustable heating system.
We’re happy to announce however that Chillchaser has offered this heater with a power cord that is long enough for most users! An oversight by many manufacturers that has finally been rectified. With the power cord measuring 4.5m long.
Power info: 240v, 50/60Hz.back to menu ↑

We’d recommend these heaters for commercial properties like pubs and restaurants. Any business that needs to heat an area indoors or outdoors would do well with these heaters! While you could use these at home, there are better shadow series heaters with adjustable heat settings available.back to menu ↑
