The average cost per kWh in the U.K is currently 14.7 pence. Our hourly usage can be calculated as follows.
Heater running costs:
Full Power (2700W) – 2.7kW x 1 hour = 2.7 kWh x 14.7p = 39.69p (per hour)
Medium Power (1800W) – 1.8kW x 1 hour = 1.8kWh x 14.7p = 26.46p (per hour)
Low Power (900W) – 0.9kW x 1 hour = 0.9kWh x 14.7p = 13.23p (per hour)
Assuming we were to use this heater for 2 hours a night every night.
On full power (2.7kW or 2700W) our monthly electric bill will be £23.81
On medium power (1.8kW or 1800W) our monthly electric bill will be £15.88
On low power (0.9kW or 900W) our monthly electric bill will be £7.94
The user manual claims a usage costs of £0.32 per hour based on a kWh price of 12p. This was correct at time of print, however due to the increase in cost of electricity you may find this costing you a little bit more per hour.back to menu ↑

This heater has it all. It’s weatherproof, comes with a decent sized power cable, remote, and 3 separate power settings. The only negative we have is the price, at £220 you can buy 2 to 3 Firefly patio heaters or save £10 and buy a Fire Mountain 1.8kW Slimline Floor Standing Electrical Patio Heater.
That being said we still really like this heater and can’t wait to see it a little bit cheaper. Once the price drops you can expect to see a 5 star review!
