Victory Lighting (HLW45BG) – 4.5kW Infrared Weatherproof Patio Heater

Victory Lighting specialise in a variety of different heating solutions, varying from commercial to home, pet / equestrian and lizard heating. They know their market and have released this incredibly powerful 4.5kW heater!
The HLW45BG is suitable for patios, restaurants, pubs, shops, warehouses, clubs, churches, factories and much more. It’s a versatile heater, which can be wall mounted, ceiling mounted or even hung within a parasol or gazebo.
This heater provides up to 19.6sqm (210sqft) of heat coverage based on an overhead installation of 2.5m.
If wall mounted it will provide heat coverage for up to 16.8sqm (180sqft) based on an installation height of 2.5m.

Bulb Life & Heating Type
This heater comes with three reduced glare gold coated infrared bulbs. Replacements are fairly easy to find and will cost between £30-40 depending on the stockist.
Due to the superior build quality of these bulbs, you should expect a minimum lifespan of 5,000 hours!
Power Settings & Specifics
This heater has a single power setting of 4500W.
The mains supply cable is 3 metres long.
Weighing in at 4.5kg this heater is suitable for most well built parasols and gazebos as well.
The HLW45 is available in black only. The design modern and built for practicality over style.

It comes with an ingress protection rating of IP55. This offers superior protection against both solids and liquids.
Solid rating 5 – offering protection against dust and larger objects.
Liquid rating 5 – protection against water jets. You’ll be able to leave this heater outside without fearing the consequences of the elements.
This heater is also supplied with a wall bracket and parasol clamp!
The target market for this heater is the commercial user, however there’s nothing stopping you from using this as a home patio heater if you’ve got a large area that you want heated.
At the reviewed price of £308.99 (check latest price) this heater will cost you approximately 6p per hour to run before electricity. Assuming a full bulb life of 5,000 hours. If you choose to replace the bulbs rather than purchase a new heater then it will cost you 2p per hour thereafter.

It’s not the cheapest commercial heater available on the market, but it offers vastly superior heat coverage to lower powered heaters. The trade-off is worth it in the long-run if you have a large surface area to heat.

We love this heater, it’s not cheap but it has a solid build and comes with wall mounting brackets and the parasol clamp so you’re ready to use it out of the box. The reduced glare feature makes it attractive to commercial users who don’t want their heaters blinding their patrons.
The availability of spare bulbs also makes it great for users who don’t want to re-invest in heaters when the bulbs die.
